Children's Colorado has been named on the Forbes list of America’s Best Large Employers 2024. This prestigious award is based on employees’ willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family, and participants were given the chance to rate other employers in their respective industries. This year, Children’s Colorado was ranked No. 4 on a list of 500 organizations and companies nationwide.
Employees rank Children’s Colorado fourth in the nation
America's Best Large Employers 2024 were identified in an independent survey of more than 170,000 Americans working for companies with more than 5,000 employees in the United States. Businesses and organizations were rated based on criteria such as working hours, competitive compensation, opportunities for training and promotion, workload expectations, mental health benefits and diversity within the management team. Starting this year, the methodology also included data from the past three years to better identify employers that have been consistently highly rated over time.
Creativity and positivity create a strong workplace
From flash mobs to paid parental leave and emergency backup childcare, Children’s Colorado uses creativity and positivity to create a workplace culture worthy of landing No. 4 on Forbes’ list of America's Best Large Employers.
"We work hard to cultivate a workplace culture that embodies our value of being a caring community, while exuding humble expertise, generous service and boundless creativity,” said Betsy Rodriguez, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Children’s Colorado. “Plus, we like to find ways to have fun and lift spirits for team members and patients alike."
Some of the most beloved stress relievers at the hospital are our highly trained Medical Dogs, which are available to help lower a child’s anxiety during a procedure, motivate a child to meet their goals, make the clinical environment feel more like home and give kids a reason to play and smile – which is more important than ever when they're sick. Our team members love them as much as our patients do.
