Research Informatics Operations Coordinator

The Research Informatics Operations Coordinator will support and coordinate aspects of the Research Informatics & Data Science program. This role is responsible for coordinating the project and grant intake process and ensuring all components are present and complete, updating and maintaining accurate records and coordinating aspects related to intake, such as coordinating meetings, preparing documentation and reviewing research-related documents. This role will also capture detailed meeting minutes, perform coordination and light management tasks across projects, triages requests and inquiries, assists with office hours assignments (including handling some self-service requests), and may contribute to regulatory review activities by supporting documentation and compliance-related processes. This role may also provide support to end-users in their use of self-service tools.

Shift: Days, weekdays.Hybrid.

 

  1. Utilizes, allocates, and manages resources to meet department, project, initiative and/or program needs.

  2. Acts as a liaison and first point of contact with internal and external stakeholders.

  3. Organizes and establishes meetings on regular basis with designated individuals impacted by the program, initiative and/or project to foster positive relationships and gather continuous feedback.

  4. Provides administrative support by planning, directing, and coordinating the daily operational activities of the program, project and/or initiative.

  5. Utilizes a variety of technologies, including databases and spreadsheets, to track and monitor outcomes, financials, data, and other information.

  6. Compiles data and prepares reports and presentations; and participates in the communication of program, initiative, or project status and progress.

  7. Assists in the development of short and long term plans and strategies for programs, monitors progress, assures adherence and evaluates performance.

  8. Assists in the design of performance objectives and implements and monitors programming to meet desired outcomes.

  9. Assists with the development and facilitation of training to address team member needs and identify relevant updates when needed. 

  10. Assists with the development of outreach plan(s) according to program needs and capacity.

 

 

Guidelines: Guidelines are generally numerous, well established, and directly applicable to the work assignment.  Work assignment and desired results are explained by general oral or written instructions.

Complexity: Duties assigned are generally repetitive and restricted in scope but may be of substantial intricacy.  Employee primarily applies standardized practices.

Decision Making: Decisions or recommendations on non-standardized situations are limited to relating organizational policies to specific cases.  Brings non-routine issues to supervisor. Problems that are not covered by guidelines or are without precedent are taken up with the supervisor.

Communications: Contacts with the public or employees where explanatory or interpretive information is exchanged, gathered, or presented and some degree of discretion and judgment are required within the parameters of the job function.

Supervision Received: Under normal supervision, within a standardized work situation, the employee performs duties common to the line of work without close supervision or detailed instruction.  Work product is subject to continual review.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • EDUCATION – High school diploma or equivalent. 

  • EXPERIENCE – Two years of experience coordinating and supporting programs.

  • EQUIVALENCY – An Associate or higher degree, in a related field, may substitute for the experience requirements on a year for year basis.


Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Hourly Range: $24.48 to $36.72
