Children’s Hospital Colorado Opens Newest Location in Southeast Aurora

Children's Hospital Colorado | septiembre 09, 2024

Children’s Hospital Colorado has been providing pediatric care to patients and families for many years, with providers and team members who consistently deliver close-to-home care for children in our region. Now, families in southeast Aurora and the surrounding areas will have access to even more services and specialties at our newest location: Children’s Colorado Outpatient and Urgent Care, Southeast Aurora.

Bringing care closer to home

Children’s Colorado, Southeast Aurora welcomed its first patient at the new location, and team members from across the state came to celebrate its grand opening.

"It’s a priority for us that we bring care closer to home and care for patients in the communities where they live as often as possible,” said Suzy Jaeger, Senior Vice President, Chief Patient Experience and Access Officer. “We are committed to elevating the care in all of the communities we serve and having a kid-centric clinic in southeast Aurora that specifically cares for kids makes it easier and safer for parents to get their kids the medical care they need.”

Expanding specialized pediatric care

With 16 locations in Colorado, this new location has more than 50 providers across 20 pediatric specialties. The almost 39,500-square-foot facility has 11 urgent care exam rooms, 7 orthopedic/rehab exam rooms and 16 specialty clinic exam rooms.

Location details and hours of operation

The Outpatient and Urgent Care is located at 23770 E. Smoky Hill Rd., Aurora, CO 80016. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Appointments are by referral only. To get a referral to one of our specialists, patients can talk to their primary care provider. Our urgent care sites are open from 11 a.m.-8 p.m., 365 days a year, including holidays. This new location houses outpatient and urgent care services being relocated from our location in the Sierra Medical Office Building on the Parker Adventist Hospital campus, which closed on Aug. 20.

The renovation of the building was completed by JE Dunn Construction. This project was a major interior renovation of an existing two-story building to become a pediatric urgent care and outpatient multi-specialty clinic taking 19 months to complete.
