About Pediatric Cardiac Care in the Heart Institute
We are one of the largest programs in the country treating patients with heart problems from before birth through adulthood, with exceptional outcomes.
As a leader in pediatric cardiac care, our institute is one of the largest and fastest growing in the country. Nationally ranked for heart care and surgery by U.S. World & News Report, we are also one of only eight stand-alone pediatric research centers in the country and we are committed to advancing the field of heart care for kids.
Our state-of-the-art facilities were designed and built from the ground up to provide nationally-ranked care for kids and families coping with all kinds of heart disease.
And, because we understand what you are going through, our family-centered program includes support and care far beyond your child’s medical needs.
Collaboration means better care for your child’s heart
Led by pediatric cardiologist Shelley Miyamoto, MD and pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon James Jaggers, MD, our multidisciplinary care team ensures all of the services your child may need are here in one place. Because we combine the resources of some of the world’s most qualified and experienced heart specialists, every patient receives a more complete level of care.
The institute is comprised of more than 15 departments, including Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Heart Transplant, Cardiac Intensive Care, Cardiac Anesthesia, Cardiac Imaging, Cardiac Research and more.
As part of Children’s Hospital Colorado, our doctors and staff collaborate with, and can provide access to any of our more than 1,000 pediatric specialists at a moment’s notice.
