The Sports Medicine Center offers a state-of-the-art gym for injured athletes and an outdoor turf field for sport-specific functional training. The gym is located on the third floor of the hospital, near the glass stairs.

The Fresh Market Café on the first floor of the hospital is open every weekday for patients, families, staff and visitors. To reach the cafeteria, enter through the main entrance and walk to the left of the welcome desk where you’ll pass the gift shop and elevators. Take a right and you’ll find the Fresh Market Café.

Fresh Market Café hours: Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Coffee and Gelato Bar hours: Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

We also offer room service every day from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. for patients and families who are staying in our inpatient units, or receiving treatment in our urgent care or emergency department.

The gift shop is located just behind the welcome desk on the first floor. Here, you can find holiday items, toys, stuffed animals, toiletries and much more – with all proceeds benefitting Children’s Colorado.

The Creative Play Center is located on the first floor, near the Fresh Market Café. With both an indoor and outdoor area staffed by trained volunteers, the play area is a free and safe place for families and patients.

The Creative Play Center provides sibling support while you and your child are meeting with the care team or in a procedure. We staff solely with volunteers, so please call 720-478-0102 ahead of your visit to be sure we can accommodate your family’s needs. The Creative Play Center is available on a first-come, first-served basis for children ages 1 to 17 years of age. Some restrictions may apply.

We know that a visit to the hospital can be overwhelming and even scary at times – especially when a child has to undergo a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test in a big, loud machine. That’s why our hospital features an MRI machine that makes the testing experience more pleasant and less stressful for kids

To create a calming environment for each child’s MRI, the patient gets to select the lighting, music and visual design that he will see and hear during the test. After choosing from a variety of theme options on a touch-screen, the ordinary white room is transformed into a fun and colorful experience with themes from the jungle, ocean, cartoons and more.

This unique MRI experience calms the child and reduces the need for sedation, which leads to less anxiety and more accurate results if the child is still and relaxed.
