Children’s Colorado Signs Agreement with TriWest

We are pleased to share that Children’s Hospital Colorado has signed an agreement with TriWest to remain in network with TRICARE. The agreement is effective Jan. 1, 2025, and will ensure TRICARE patients can continue to maintain access to our care and services. This announcement replaces the news we shared previously that Children’s Colorado was moving to a non-network, participating provider status.  
  
We have worked closely with TriWest and achieved important improvements in the new contract that will help us maintain access to care. We will continue to work with TriWest on long-term changes to the contract.   
  
While we are pleased with this progress, TRICARE reimbursement for children’s hospitals remains well below the cost of providing care. We will continue engaging with the Department of Defense and elected officials to ensure that Children’s Colorado can maintain high-quality, specialty pediatric care for all kids in Colorado.   
  
We are grateful for all the individuals and families who have joined us in our efforts over the past 18 months to address these TRICARE cuts.
